Shaping Ireland’s Talent Landscape

Network Manager, Gerard Murray was delighted to participate on a panel discussion at the Skillnet Ireland “Shaping Ireland’s Talent Landscape” event held on 19th March in Athlone. Joining Gerard on the panel were Ashling Ward, Network Manager – Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet, Katie Kerin, Network Manager – South West Gnó Skillnet, Mark Skinner – Network Manager, Food Drink Ireland Skillnet and moderator Aoife O’Sullivan, Head of Network Development & Innovation – Skillnet Ireland.

Skillnet Ireland launched Ireland’s Talent Landscape 2025: Future Skills Challenges of Irish Businesses” report on Tuesday 25th March 2025 in Smock Alley Theatre, Exchange Street Lower, Dublin D08 EH67. They were joined by Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, James Lawless TD to officially launch the report.

Ireland’s Talent Landscape 2025 assesses the future skills challenges facing Irish businesses. The report captures key areas including digitalisation and artificial intelligence, climate action and additional workforce development challenges facing businesses of all sizes in Ireland. With over 500 businesses surveyed this report demonstrates the strong commitment from enterprise in supporting workforce development and its importance in driving competitiveness.

This event offers a valuable opportunity to learn more about the findings of the report and understand the workforce development issues facing Irish businesses.
