Next Level Skillnet in partnership with MBE Skillnet and Griffith College Limerick are delighted to announce they have secured ESF+ Funding for a new BA (Hons) in Sustainable Tourism & Practice Management.
This Next Level Skillnet & MBE Skillnet course is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union and network companies www.eufunds.ie.
This is a one-year programme aimed at people working in the industry. No prior third-level education is required for the programme. It offers the opportunity to gain a BA in one year for people with the relevant practical industry experience.
The funding brings the fee from €3,975.00 to €1,987.50 with Next Level Skillnet and MBE Skillnet. Funding has been awarded for this QQI level 8 programme due to a skills shortage in the market, funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union to equip people in the workplace with crucial knowledge to support the tourism sector, one of the largest contributors to the Irish economy.
Kate Harrold, Deputy Head of Griffith College Limerick, said, “ Griffith College Limerick is a third-level institution here in the heart of Limerick City. The new BA (Hons) in Sustainable Tourism & Practice Management includes green management skills training and covers environmental legislation relevant to the sector ensuring that graduates are highly employable or ready for their next promotion. It offers individuals with experience in the sector a valuable opportunity to gain a BA in one year.”
Starting in February 2026, this course will be delivered by industry experts and leaders in the Sustainable Tourism Sector.
